According to FRWO's website, based on the available statistics and documents, in comparison with the same period last year, wildfires in the country's forests and rangelands have decreased by 50%.
Based on this report, in July 2021, the number of fires has decreased from 750 to 300 compared to the same time last year, and areas damaged by wildfires have decreased from 7689 hectares to 5337 hectares.
This report concludes that the reasons for the reduction of fires in natural resources are the intensification of preventive measures, use of firefighting equipments and facilities besides the continuous monitoring of natural resources by rangers and volunteers in the region.
