According to FRWO’s website, Massoud Mansour, Head of FRWO in this regard said: "There is a possibility of involvement of human agents and smugglers in the fire in this area".
Head of FRWO expressed his hope that as the Judiciary has taken legal action, the perpetrators will be identified and arrested.
He stressed: "Our legal system has provided severe penalties for offenders and those who burn forests, and in this case, the violators will be severely dealt with."
"Today, Fire activity has decreased compared to yesterday and about 80% of the fire has been extinguished, but the wind is still blowing," he said.
Mansour said: "The main need for air services in Golestan province is helicopters, and considering that the forests of the province are protected, a helicopter should be present in the region so that it can be used in the initial stages of the fire occurrence."
He reminded that in the first six months of this year, compared to the same period last year, there is a 45% reduction in fires in the country's forests, and in terms of area, forest fires have decreased by more than 40%.
